I really like the second one... did you use a tripod for that?
Any tips so I could try that with a running horse?
Not sure just where to start....
Great shots!

its panning, slow shutter speed and track the subject, nice fluid motion dont stop once the pic is taken, keep tracking and IS on 2 or option 2 or off
ask eek for tips, he is really good at panning

Eek is much better than me at panning, I tried 25/30th of a shutter speed since then it's not happening lol. Well maybe if I tried a tripod, guess I will try that next time.

My only tip would be to start out fast and work your way down, for cars I started at 125 I did that for probably 1-2 months, moved to 100 did that for 2-3 events, went to 80, 60, and now I'm at 40-60 depending on the speed of the cars at events. Generally I go for 100 ISO and play around with my F stop to try to keep as much detail as possible. F/7.1-F/13 range on a 70-200 F/2.8

I would love to see it done with horses I'm sure it can be done, the issue I run into is with cars you don't notice so much where I'm not 100% focused if you look closely the nose and the tail of the cars are generally not very sharp.
With cars I really only have one factor to play with as well, with horses you have a rider and the horse that you would need to semi-predict their movements, for me that would be changeling for you I'm sure you've been around it enough to have a good idea what to expect.
