yeah the focusing is like the only thing I really dont like about my 5D mark II. I dont even care about the 3,9 fps.

I'm sure the IQ will be excellent too.

Every 5D thus far has changed the market completely.

Even the 1ds III isn't much to poke a stick at.. take it out of the studio and it's hopeless.

yeah. I remember when I had a shoot in the woods a while back....... focusing on the models face trough branches and shit --> fucking impossible

did you use flash for that?

modelling lamps help massive! even if you have an LED panel, switch it on and mount it near the flash head and use it as a modelling lamp. The flash will over power the LED but give you enough light to focus.

might try that next time, ty.

Well it wasnt impossible, but it kept focusing on the branches, then moved on the model again, but it takes ages till it actually focuses where I want :O
but that´s just an exception. I´m pretty satisfied with the mk II

Do you use AF ON for focus and centre point recomposure?

The top and bottom points are shocking on it..
