People over-analyzing camera bodies here. A good lense and a good photographer .. you will have a great picture no matter what camera you use.

Well you can lol all you want. Matthew Jordan Smith uses a Sony and CZ lenses to excellent result. His income as well as fame from his photography surpasses what everyone on this photography forum makes collectively from photography.

This place cracks me up ... reminds me of a bunch of kids in a school. The new kid walks down the hall and immediately he is judged by his gear. And if it isn't Canon, it's crap. You get ridiculed, made less for choosing the "inferior" option. It's like that occasional old person stuck in their ways, refusing to look or listen to reason.

In the School of Canon, the TVs keep repeating the commercials which the kool aid drinkers keep drinking.

Outside, passed the playground, in the real world, the pro's are using all the brands and they are making money and art. All the while those stuck in that hallway are still bickering about gear.

Tl;dr

You can't compare a hobby photographer (or semi-hobby photographer) with a proffesional. Matthew Jordan Smith would shoot wonderful pictures with whatever camera on the market. He probably chose Sony, because he prefered their ergonomics and customer service - sponsors perhaps? And of course gear is judged. Most photographers are big nerds. There is a love for composing wonderful shots as well as there is a love for technology. Professional PC gamers could win tournaments on shitty computers too..
And by your definition are you stuck in the hallway if you don't care about gear and if you are not a professional?

Senseless post is senseless.
Photographer>Brand, sure, still makes no sense to change from something better(which you already own) to something worst.
That's what we're judging.
