Someone who is just getting into it will get much more use out of all of those things than a prime.

is this a good price, I was looking in bhphotovideo but the lens would take around 7-14 days to arrive, and since i will be in NY the next week I don't have all this time ( I'm brazilian and here just for the body of a D5100 I would pay around 2k )

Still would get more use out of what I suggested along with some accessories.

i recommend the D90 over the D5100 etc
but which ever you select i would say either get:
- 24-70 f/2.8 sigma
