Here's one that I really like.... Had to be in the right spot at the right time to take this shot..
The horse you see in first plan threw off its rider at the top of the hill, then didn't want to get caught but couldn't find the way back to the stables...
This is during a cross-country race that is usually about 11 minutes long and is part of a 3-day event. You can see the horseless rider at the top of the hill walking down, and the next contestant jumping towards the loose horse...

Oh well, looks like I shouldn't hav been too happy....
I asked her what she had to offer me for the picture she is interested in...
She replied saying I came to the competition site to take pictures and sell them, without asking for accreditation...
She added she will close her eyes on this in exchange for the picture...

This is not a good move to get a picture from me.
Bribery? Since when do you need a permission to take pictures on a public site?

If so, they have 0 legal grounds for anything.

I don't understand what that means....

No sales yet but checks on the way... from private people...

also I had sent her a small version of my photo she wants, and I wrote 'for identification purposes only' with a huge watermark in the middle, so she can't use that....

ok- i'm not 100% familiar with Canadian law, but for the U.S:

you are free to go to a public event and take pictures and sell them on your own and for your own profit unless:
you were comissioned to do so
the event location specifies your inability to do so. This can't just be some random clause in a hidden policy on their website. There must be evident and reasonable attempts to inform people of this prohibition- which should likely include banners or security guards during the event.
the subject you are shooting is illegal

since neither of these 3 apply, they cannot 1) do anything to you, regardless of whether you make private sales or not - and 2) continue to coerce you in such a manner that you may take it as a threat. Write an email asking them to stop their threads. If they continue, write a certified letter. If they insist, ignore them or take legal action :)

Ok... there was no indication whatsoever about not taking pictures.
I didn't sell my pictures on the site of the competition.
It's a public event where anyone can go and watch.
I think she is pulling the card of trying to scare me so I give her the picture for free...
Well she doesn't know who she is dealing with.
Another photographer (professional) tried the intimidation trick with me, and when he saw it didn't work, he started to put down my way of photography, which didn't work either...
But that one, she has no one to provide her with quality pictures for her to provide to the media....
And she treated me like I'm some kinda person who gets intimidated...
I didn't reply to her e-mail, and good luck to her trying to get any picture from me now.
And if she uses any of my pictures without my permission, hello court.

Court is a great way to make money too!

One of my former teachers had a little fine art business with an online gallery for a little while. However, the most money he ever made from it was when he sued someone who tried to steal his photo.

$20,000 from a trip to Chicago and a court date.
