What is your setting?

Uh. Very simple. So... Put a container for the water out. Then I put a white (kind of glossy) binder behind the container. Put my flash off to the corner aimed at the binder at an angle. Tripod/ camera in front of the water dish. Water bag obviously above. Was using a remote as well.

I think the blue ones are cool! I don't like the darker ones, though. I tried this and failed miserably... I haven't passed grade 2 yet :S

This is true.

I've done better myself. I was just wanting to play around with a new way of shooting them. The first purple ones are clearly underexposed, I was just trying to achieve that color. It was all WB + flash bouncing off the background. Wasn't even using the right pan to catch the water in. I was just trying to get the pan/ drop/ flash/ tripod/ camera position all worked out. Once I do that I am planning on playing with different colors as well as different liquids.

well, isnt that a story. here is an idea. drop a match into a small amount of gasonline on the surfaace of the water. the timing is hard but u can get an excellent and unquie effect

Not sure I quite have the balls for that... I'll definitely consider it though. Sounds like it could be fun.
