Full frame hands down. It's not even a contest.

Once you go full frame you don't go back.

Does going full frame film count? I've gone 6x7cm and I came back, begrudgingly..

You've gone back to 35mm?

Any reason? (besides the obvious extra expense)

that is a tough 1, but the 7D will prob suit you better, where as the 5D will suit 90+ % of the rest
i have the 5D and love it, although the AF is below what i was use to and expect
(the centre focus point is ok, but the rest are poor, and not in the optimal positions)
fps is acceptable, IQ is superb
i cant remember what lenses you have, would you get body only or 24-105kit or another lens?

Hesitating between kit and body only....
I will be left only with my 50 mm 1.8 after I sell my xsi, but kit is 300 $ more..
But if I want to buy a lens it will cost me more than that..
I love my 50 mm, great all around lens and very nice for portraits, and I usually rent the 70-200 2.8 for horse shows... but argh.... money money.... can't ever decide myself...
All will be put on credit card... so it's not really a smart move anyways, but I'm going crazy with the limitations of my xsi...

I went all the way back to 1.6 crop factor. The extra expense, the fact that I couldn't develop my own color film, and that I couldn't afford to go buying lenses for both digital and film formats.

I must change the body... the AF on the xsi is not the greatest, and I find that is my main problem when shooting fast action.. I have to do so much work on PS in order to cover it up :(

hmmm, well dunno if the 5D will suite you as only the centre AF point is acceptable
what about looking into an older used 1D? just a thought

This is why more and more I am considering the 7D... apparently it has a new very effective AF on all points....
So hard to believe those reviews and ratings cause you never know if they are really neutral and not one sided...
