It is really easy, I fixed an older Nikon 24mm 2.8 that had this problem.

Also, even though the ring is off, since it is has the af confirm and aperture confirm it should still display the correct aperture that it is on. Or is the aperture confirm controlled by the position of the ring?

For your information, G mount contax carl zeiss lens' are automatic focus.

So next time you try to be rude, make sure you have your facts right

Anti was talking about Samyang lenses, as far as I know their's are all manual focus.

As for being an auto focus lens, that changes nothing. They are all basically built the same. The aperture is in nearly the same location in all lenses given a few exceptions.

He clearly was not, he only mentioned about a guide for samyang lens' and the fact that it changes nothing is not the issue here, my point you was rude to me when my statement was 100% correct.
