Kit lens will do if I upgrade body..

I got the 60D with twin lens kit for a 21st present earlier this year loving it!

How much are taxes in the US?
IS it different per State? Anyone knows for NY or Vermont?

new york 8.875% although it varies just a bit city to city because new york city adds a small tax for the service of metropolitan transportation

if I'm not mistaken...

each state has a different tax rate. texas for me is 8.25%

Looking at 60D used and comparing it to new in the USA, I'd be spending 1300 $ plus tax, new, or 1100 $ no tax , used...
I think I would prefer a new camera..
Plus there are absolutely none in the Montreal area, the only one for sale is a 4 hour drive from here... compared to 2 hours for a new one in the US...
I saw it at Best Buy... the 'bundles' they have at Walmart are not appealing to me, because of the lenses included, which ups the price..
Any other big stores I could find to compare?

The one at 1300 $ includes the 18-135, which is still just a kit lens, but would do for now...
