Ok... I can finally answer! Yay

Facebook has two options of download: 'high res' and the facebook compressed version.
The facebook compressed version is exactly 72 DPI and 720 pixels at its longest edge. This means that in order to upload the most facebook-friendly photo, you must size the image according to the previous specifications.
72 DPI @ 720 pixels = more than enough to copy/paste and put as your facebook profile. Therefore, we cannot stop copy/pastas. What option, then, do we have left for those thiefs? Only to take advantage of them!
1) Watermarks
Watermarks must serve their purpose: to prevent printing and to include sufficient information so that copy/pasta's will advertise for free for you. This also means that you must come up with a watermark that does not intrude with the purpose of the photo. The best way to do this is to include a CLEAR, EVIDENT watermark that does not intrude with the photo yet is large enough to be seen by every 'friend.'
Here's an example:

You'll notice that the core essence of the photo is untouched. I wouldn't mind keeping the watermark on my facebook profile. Most other photographers will say "OMG YOUR WATERMARK IS TOO MUCH ITS SO HUEG ZOMG ZOMG RAGE RZGZKDJSLAKDJA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!one111!"
Are you fuckin kidding me? This type of watermark I'd keep rather than some ugly ass red letters. It's a sort of branding that looks (to me) elegant, sort of like the value that is added by a gucci or abercorombie logo.
You'll notice in my watermark has my website. Free advertisement

2) To be continued. A beautiful woman needs me
