Wow! That's cool! Hummingbirds are pretty. Looking forward to seeing your photos with the lens!

So how long do you rent it for? Was it expensive? I am curious now!

45 $ till Monday afternoon, with a 1000$ deposit on the credit card :o
But I can't afford to buy this beautiful lens :(
Google L. L. Lozeau and check their rental prices.. they really have everything!

Get out while you can... 10k later, you'll still be wanting that lens 'you really need' :\

I know already that I will not buy the 70-200 4.0-5.6 as it would not let enough light in for fast capture of horses...
Under the clouds and rain in late afternoon, I couldn't go higher than 1/250e sec at 800 iso :(
I'll save up or just rent it from time to time.....

ooo! Can you rent from them from anywhere in Canada?

Crazy! That would be cool too to see if you like the lens, want to save up for it in the future, etc... get a feel for it. COOOL!

What if someone can't afford to buy one? What do they have... a kit lens? That's no fun :)

Depends on when kind of lens you're renting.

I rented a 300L 2.8 IS a few months back. I would rather pay the $55 and $6500 deposit rather then buying myself one at $5300 a pop.
