The backgroun is so very ugly I had to hide it...
And because of the flying mane and tail, it's hard to blur only the background..
Unless you have an idea for me to do this...
I'm open to all suggestions :)

Duplicate your image and blur the duplicated image to however you see fit. Add a layer mask to the blurred image and start erasing the parts you want sharpened. Once you're done with your mask you'll need to click on the blurred image (not the mask) and start stamp tooling the edges around the horse to eliminate the blurred/glow effect.

Let me know if this makes sense and if you have any questions.

I understand you're excited and while this may seem like a huge opportunity for you, do not get used to giving out services without charging money in exchange for 'exposure.' Lets be honest, who benefits the most here?

Marie stands to benefit the most here, as her work is going to be exhibited in what I assume is a gallery, along with other photographer's work, giving her the opportunity to sell prints.

Of course, the gallery owner will take a percentage of all those sales, but she wouldn't have picked Marie if she didn't think they'd make her any money (or she wouldn't be in the biz for long).
