No offense to anyone who entered, but I think 3 wins, hands down.

This.

#1 Subject is...

#2 Flat and over-contrasted to the extreme

#4 2nd place imo. Interesting use of perspective and color. A little simple though

#5 More of a snapshot, the bright orange is a little overwhelming and there's no thought required to take in what's being expressed.

#6 Not architecture.

only 6 photos? :(
thats 50% chance to win fg!

i strongly dislike black/white photos when its not necessary or doesnt work, seems like cheating/boring.

Black and white is a stylistic choice, not some sort of case-solver.

I would say that people who make photos black and white just to pump up the contrast to 11 are the ones who ruin it as a "style"

Indeed. But the same can be said about full color by those standards.
Any type of color-scheme choice (temperature, ect) is appropriate only case-by-case.

but color > gray scale
there are way more colors than there are grays.

and a photo being b/w i find blocks out a lot of details (good or bad) that you wouldnt necessarily see if it was in color.

well i am obv different to all

#3 i dont like the composition and framing, i dont think bw works with architecture in most cases

i like #5, yeah its not great by any means but i studied mechanical design and strength of materials etc so i see more architectural design
wouldve been nice if the sun was lower, with longer sun trails running across the floor

#1 snapshot-ish, not sure what th subject was meant to be, and just seems too dull for me

#2 i like the idea and pic, but too much editing as already mentioned

#4 very boring, anyone could take a pic like that

#6 not a fan of the camera angle, and need to see a little more to try and make out what we are looking at

my opinions obv

However, black and white can be used to diminish the effect that distracting colors could have, or it could emphasize the lighting and shadows more prominently.
