This is what I'd do.

I'd call this photo: Waiting.

MUCH better. The other two were a choice between bland and over-done. Happy medium.

Imo maybe maintain a bit more width to the picture.

Ended up with going for #3, but I just like a bit more contrast in some pics.

I mean, I liked the one I just did aswell and that's a bit worse: http://www.flickr.com/photos/59596257@N08/5506698072/#/photos/59596257@N08/5506698072/lightbox/

You've completely murdered some of the highlights, which doesn't look good.

Could you elaborate on that a bit, pic #1 in post #1 is the original picture, as far as I see it I only increased highlights but I'm in the process of learning so all the help is appreciated.

Look at the area under the door and the brightly lit building in the original, then compare them to your edited one. You'll see in your edited one, you've blown the highlights to the point where most of the detail is lost.

Basically, as those areas are already partially blown, your best bet is enhance some of the highlights in other areas, but make sure those bits are dodged so as to not kill the detail.

Ty, I see. Will go for a next run as soon as the horrible hangover feeling is gone.
