Does the club have any other lights at all, any lasers, anything like that?

If it does, go for quite long exposures (1/2 second or so is good) and fire the flash. You'll get some interesting results.

I'm not to sure how the pub/club looks like inside but pretty much have some light in it
was thinking same about exposures since i don't wana go over 200 iso on my a300

With no flash you'll even need iso 1k+(depending on lens though).

Sonys have integrated wireless capabilities, so take advantage of that, buy some sony strobes, and create some cool lighting with bounced flash that's on a tripod or stand.

party start at 7-30pm so assume there will be dark
