Funny thing is, film is so fucking cheap.

£100 for a decent camera and lens.
£260 for a Plustek 7200DPI dedicated film scanner
£4 for all the film you could want (Whenever I get a roll developed at Jessops, they give me a free roll of Fuji C200 36exp)
£2 per roll developed, 1 hour service.

That's not exactly much cash to pony up for what is essentially a 30MP+ camera.

/edit A 35mm scan, at 7200 DPI would give you a 69MP file, if my calculations are correct.

Yeah but it would add up, especially if youre the type thats a total photo whore.

I wish I could get a hasselblad. Ive seen some photos that I loved, and what the guy would do is take a photo through his iphone with the hasselblad, so he could edit it digitally. Pretty neat idea imo.

Well yeah, but part of the appeal of film is you don't need to shoot off hundreds and hundreds of crap shots, you develop some self control in your shooting, which is a good thing to then bring back to your digital workflow.

Pretty shit idea, to be honest. You're paying a premium for gear you're not getting the most out of, Hasselblad cameras and Zeiss lenses aren't exactly cheap.

Thats true. I already have that laziness.

True, I just like the part about being able to edit without having to go through scanning and all that.
