#3 How many apples that you see glow? When you think of an apple do you picture it as something that glows? Pretty fucking unusual way to look at an apple.

#8 Maybe I lied... But I am sure that the person that took this sees it unusual in some way.

#10 Exactly as Ace said.

I don't want to sound rude but do you know the meaning of perspective?
Putting a light behind something doesn't make it unusual.

This might be eventually an unusual perspective of an apple:

About the other 2 pictures i said enough.

Calm down guys, it's not that big of a deal. This wasn't the easiest theme to get a picture for...

I had an idea for the scoring...would it make sense to vote for more than just one picture? Maybe vote on your top 3, something like:

1st - 6 pts
2nd - 3 pts
3rd - 1 pt

Or something like that. Thoughts? Not for the current contest obviously.

Perspective, in context of vision and visual perception, is the way in which objects appear to the eye based on their spatial attributes; or their dimensions and the position of the eye relative to the objects.

I didn't enter the contest and have yet to see the entries (takes forever to load on dial-up) but my idea of unusual perspective had to do with very wide angle lens, which I do not have...
I wanted to take a picture of my daughter's lizard from under him while he is hanging only by his hind legs...
But I do not have a wide angle lens to have the wanted effect......

I had another idea but the results were not good cause light was too low to have everything in focus (close and far objects)..
I was at the botanical garden and there was a small waterfall (indoors) and I had my son position his hands so the water was falling from his hands...
But the water ended up too blurried and I lost the effect I wanted..
So that was a fail :(

I did have an older picture taken of my daughter holding the sun in her hands, another one of my son holding the sun in his hands above his head...
That would have been unusual perspective, but not possible to do in the winter as the sun goes down behind tall trees :(
Can only be done in the summer.

I ended up editing the one with my daughter quite a bit today out of boredom and fear of freezing my ass off if I went outside
Here's my non official entry for unusual perspective ;)

It is so much fun!!!
If I had high speed internet I could look for more different textures to use...
So far I have been using the same one over and over again
Good thing the guy who made it has it free to use, otherwise I'd be broke :p

Ugh, lol, I can tell the future of all these contests... gonna be people arguing on what the theme actually means and complain about some photos that don't fit the theme ....

:bouncy:

I'm not arguing, my source is wikipedia.
I just hate how every contest turned out to be a "the most gorgeous pic" instead of the "the pic that fits the theme the most and after that is also gorgeous"
