even that is often not enough. I have heard of ppl putting a 2x extender on a 600mm lens which makes it a 1200mm lens to get some details of the surface :D
I bet with that combo they could capture zits on someones face like a mile away

I took some pictures last night, and after cropping the picture to basically just the moon, the resized picture wasn't too bad.
However, I was using the Canon editting software to do so, and everytime I'd go to save the newly sized picture I'd get an error saying "Cannot write to file"
Any ideas on how to fix this? :[

Go Nikon? Kidding. You'll get burned by NikonHunters if you do.

Do not do the cropping on the Canon editing software. Edit it, then crop it elsewhere.

It's the only editting software I have :(
I've never had problems with cropping like this before.
I thought maybe it was because I was cropping it so much, that the new image was too big.
But I even tried cropping just about nothing out of the image and it still did that same thing :\

Email it to me and I'll crop it in lightroom for you. Or download picasa or gimp (especially the latter), they're free and safe.
