Versatility isn't ranked too high on my list. But  the weather sealing would be nice to have... Maybe if i keep the 24-70L, sell my 50mm and 100L to buy a 35L and a Sigma 85/1.4....

Dude, where do you live that weather sealing is something you actually need to have on a camera?

I wonder when we'll be producing 1.2 zoomies.

They could make it, but it wouldn't be practical. It would probably weigh about as much as it would cost to make.

Atlanta. We have very weird weather here. I could be out shooting at 1pm with bright sun overhead.. At 1:20pm it could be pouring and sun would be out again at 1:30. It happens fairly often here.. if you're lucky, you'll experience that 4-5 times a day.

It's not something that i would need per say.. but nice to have. I was shooting the fall colors a month ago in the rain and it just gives me a little more peace of mind when i know my body and lens are somewhat weather sealed.

Fair enough. :)

I was going to say something rude about wanting stuff for the sake of wanting it, but if it is genuinely useful, go for it.

Also, slightly on topic, but just found a 35mm/f2 AI-s in my dad's old camera bags, and it's a fun lens. Zooms are dull...

Haha, you can argue that i sort of do "want" it. It's not a need at all since photography isn't my profession. But i really do "want" to have something wider then my current 50mm :P

Vouch primes are more fun to use!

Edit: It might be just me, but i actually like to shoot on overcast days or in the rain/ after rain.. i find that the colors are alot more vibrant and the lights are softer :[ 24-70 could be my lens for that :]

THe 24-70 will have 24 mm :D
I'm currently planning my switch to 100% primes, but it's something I have to learn how to use properly :(

I love shooting pure primes, that might change if I had to actually shoot for money though.
