If you look hard enough there must be something interesting still out there like the bird you in your picture or squirrels and other urban wild life :D
I think you should get Samyang and save up for a Canon 70-200L IS zoom. I am saying IS because the IS versions are noticeably better than the non-IS ones and they are weather sealed which would be perfect for your 1Dmk3 :p
I am planning on getting the Samyang too but my problem is to find a vendor who actually sells it.

most birds move away soon and squirrels hide most the time, not to mention that even if i would find one, the background would be boring and all over exposed and i would need longer lens for birds or squirrels anyway, so i would need to buy an extender also. i dont have a steady income that i could save from atm, i had got this short job that i get 700€ extra in couple of days and i dont want to spend more than 300-400€ on the lens, so i cant really afford those IS lenses unless i sell my 24-105 and not buy that 17-40. there was this old 100-300 5.6L on one forum like two weeks ago, could have bought that(it was 350€ if i remember right) but the guy sold it already <_<

Yeah, that's true and I believe Finland is colder than the other Scandinavian countries :(
Well if you can't find a cheap 80-200 f2.8 there is also the EF 100-300 f4.5-5.6 USM. It's kinda old so maybe you can find one pretty cheap. It has 8 aperture blades which should create nice bokeh
and it's reasonably sharp at least according to this review: http://www.the-digital-picture.com/reviews/Canon-EF-100-300mm-f-4.5-5.6-USM-Lens-Review.aspx

i dont think there is significant difference with other scandinavian countries(except denmark), its just that southern parts of norway and sweden are more south than southern parts of finland.

i dont really want non L glass, unless i would go with tamron or sigma 70-200. that old 100-300 5.6 L would be great, even tho its a push/pull zoom and slow/noisy af it delivers L colors, contrast and is sharp, but its dirt cheap

I don't know about Tamron but the older Sigma 70-200 is pretty awful according to some of the reviews I have read. There is also the 300 f4L USM non-IS prime. I have heard it's very sharp and you can get it cheap too.

hmm I thought the western Scandinavian countries are warmer because of the gulf stream.

it doesent make any noticeable difference on the temperatures.

anyways, i decided i try to buy sigma 20mm 1.8 used, it seems to be wide enough and 1.8 is great for winter because its dark most the time

Good choice. I will be 26mm on your 1D but that's still pretty wide. I have been using the 24-70 at 24mm on the 5D lately and I am amazed by how wide it actually became compared to when I used it on the 1.6 crops.
Just make sure you get a sharp copy!
