dont make statements like this without studying all the facts
99.9% terrorist funds do not come from the petrochemical industry, and how they got into power is another story

I said indirectly...

It's the extreme wealth in that region that made it possible for those individuals to finance their activities.
Countries like Iran actually got rich in recent years due to high oil prices.

Yes, these shots are great! I enjoyed looking at them.

It's so weird, it looks EXACTLY like the snowbirds here in Canada... even the stunts they do. Pretty crazy, and I like how you captured it all at the right time... looked like they all crashed together.

Well, b/c they're the canadian snowbirds :D I think they practice the same tricks for all the events... did you see the one where they make a heart. That was epic, but i had my 100-400L mounted, i realized what they where making halfway, wanted to swap lenses but i knew i couldn't get it done in time -_-.

Good shots, but clean the sensor!

I like the one you posted for the contest. That was the one I prefer, I voted for number 1 because is the one that more gives me the idea of "movement", but I like yours too.

:)

Haha, yeah. Blame not having two bodies, i'm constantly changing lenses in the field : /.

I actually boosted the saturation a little in lightroom :P. It might seem amazing, but the weather was extremely harsh that day. No wind to clear to smokes, shooting into direct sunlight (panning with the plane and suddenly have the sun hit your eye from the viewfinder sucks big time). I wish there were a few clouds too... but meh -_-

hmm is that a military base you went to? and was it an airshow?
It's just stupid why they let ppl in and then harass them just like the airports I mean if they suspect everyone to be terrorist or illegal immigrant why don't they just close the whole thing and let everyone travel the old fashioned way by boat or land
instead of questioning and harassing non-Caucasians. Seriously sometimes I wonder if those so called democratic countries are really that much better than countries like Iran and Cuba. Btw what kind of suspects were the cops looking for? I mean
do you actually look like you are from the middle east? Well I can actually go on and on about this but to keep it short I believe what they should do is something kind of drastic like stop being so dependent on oil there are many ways to replace
gasoline and other oil products. If you don't believe me just ask the US air force lol. They are actually planning on using synthetic oil in the future.  http://www.defensenews.com/story.php?i=3969089
Everyone was complaining about the high gas prices a couple of years ago and some still are but still they are driving around in those huge gas guzzlers which also indirectly aid the terrorists. It's a very funny and strange world we are living in.

Yeah, it was an airbase with a military contractor next door. The security that day was extremely tight, everyone went thru metal detectors, some are randomly wanded and all bags are searched before we were loaded into buses that take us into the base.

The cops never told me who they were looking for, they just said i look like one of the suspects they're looking for... i mean seriously? If someone is wanted by the cops would they even bother to go to an airshow at a military base? LOL

Why don't you get another one? I have been using two bodies during the summer and sometimes even that wasn't enough lol. I just sold my 40D with 4GB Extreme III for 450 so they aren't really that expensive.

Yeah it's just like at the airports in North America. They stop and question everyone who doesn't look "American" or "Canadian" and ask them where they got their passports even those who have the newer biometric passports lol.
I have been to an air force base in Sweden and they didn't even check the bags but that was before 9/11 though. I have heard that some airshows in the US had been canceled due to security concerns which is really a shame considering
all those awesome planes you guys have there :p

Money is really tight atm, i'm saving up for my car.. wanted to save up and throw down a huge down payment to reduce my monthly payments. Plus, i keep reminding myself that it's still a hobby for me right now :[

Security has been insane lately, one time i saw a hut in great light along side the road, i pulled over and took out my tripod.. within minutes cops came and ask me what i was doing lol... I eventually had to leave b/c he said he'll ticket me for non-emergency stop if i don't pack up and leave = lolwat?

Haha, but i kinda need the ride to get me from point A to point B. Aka home to work.

Having a fancy one just makes me start my day happier :P

Good link to read. But i would still avoid it when i can. Spending 3 hours with the police when i can just put my camera away wins.

I know a lot of ppl who live in big cities don't have cars simply because they have no need for them :p
