this just proves that people who buy oly or pentax doesent know anything about cameras so they rate them with high rank in user reviews(where these statistics came from), same with low end nikon users.

I wonder what they see in those tiny 4/3 sensors. Even though they have those insanely expensive f2 zoom lenses which really are f4 on a full frame.
It was only until recently with the release of those mirror less compact cameras like ePen and GF1 that actually made the 4/3 cameras start looking more
interesting.

they are f/2 even if you put them on a compact camera

What I meant is the DOF created by those lenses.
You would need a ridiculously large aperture to get the same thin DOF created by a f2 lens on a FF.

This is the reason why it's so hard to get any background blur when shooting with those point and shoot cameras.

hmm yeah I think I just confused myself here. :D
I mean if a camera has a smaller sensor wouldn't it mean the DOF would be a lot deeper at the same aperture as if I used a camera with larger sensor?
I used this DOF calculator and nothing really makes sense:
http://www.dofmaster.com/dofjs.html

It seems at the same focal length (assuming it's converted to 35mm) the smaller sensor would actually created thinner DOF??? wtf
