Yeah I know what you mean here. It's kinda like this "grass is greener on the other side" thing.
When I lived in Sweden I found it boring and rarely go out and take pictures of those beautiful
cathedrals and churches they have there and now I am living in Canada I really miss those :(
Speak of churches don't they have any old mosques there? I know there some really beautiful
old mosques in Turkey and Spain and hope to take some pictures of them one day :D
I've heard UAE is one of the most westernized countries in the middle-east. So the locals also
speak English?

population of local emiraties is less than 10%, and most speak english
high population of Indian and Filipinos who normally do labour work etc
then the rest is weterners

dubai is mostly new buildings, hardly any old mosques etc, and the few left are surrounded by modern building that just ruin the pic

Wow! Those guys are even worse than Chinese
haha there are lots of them here in Canada too :D
Is it safe for you to travel around outside the city? You can travel around in the neighboring countries like KSA which has some old cities like Medina and Mecca.

I think it's pretty common for many modern cities in Asia to have old traditional buildings surrounded by skyscrapers. You should visit Hong Kong and Shanghai. It's just as crazy there :D

dont take it out of the bag before it warms to around the same temperature as the air is inside.

probably wouldnt be a bad idea to drop one of those little packets of dessicant gel into the baggie as welll, to suck up the moisture inside the baggie

you can get them in a lot of stuff you might buy, they come in things like computer bags and some electronics and whatnot too

its is totally safe here, can walk around anywhere anytime
hardly ever lock the house
people leave there cars running (so the AC keeps going) while they pop into the shops etc
Problem with KSA is that u cant just go there, u need to be invited by a company etc and get a visa before hand - it really aint easy, also there you have to be careful of who/what u photograph
