Yeah, I would have pretty much money to spend on other stuff if I didn't do photography, but I wouldn't say I regret my spending ^^

Something similar happened to me:
I once saw my dad wake up at 5 am only to drink coffee and watch the sunrise. I was like wtf.
I once saw my grandfather wake up at 4 am to set up his 30-year-old film portrait equipment for the day's work. I was like wtf.
I woke up today at 4 am to shoot a wedding until the end of the church, where the guy who was hired to take pictures took over.
