We all said the same thing about selective coloring :D

I don't really see what you're getting at..

I don't like selective coloring ever really. I think it's tacky. But I was bored, and I actually kind of like how it is on this photo.
You don't like my vintage style post-processing, fine, others do. I may lose portrait opportunities because of it, but I also will gain them, and I'm not compromising my personal style.

Out of curiosity, when you (or your clients) get the photos printed, do they look the same as they do on the computer?

I know I had issues a long time ago when I went to print a few vintage-y type pics, and the colors were way oversaturated and just gross looking.

I had that happen with my Uncle one time, luckily it hasn't happened again to my knowledge. With that photo it was already pretty saturated. And he used Wal-Mart. I always use and recommend CVS for printing. I actually just printed out 20 5x7s there two weeks ago because my now boss wanted to see some of my work when I went for my job interview. They turned out fine!

The best thing to do is to calibrate your screen and ask your print shop for their specs. I'm not sure walmart or cvs would do this, but pro print shops usually do.

I had a local walgreens shop send me the machine specs of a specific store, as well as the crop factor (since they always leave out a little part, despite it being sized properly). Vintage post edit isn't my favorite, but I didn't mean to offend you. You're right, you'll be gaining a lot of clients that are interested in that, but likely you won't be losing many since you can simply not edit that way.

I printed it at Target, maybe its just an issue with them.

Ive had problems with their printers before too, random specks showing up and such. Thanks for the advice though ^_^ I dont even know what printers are around here yet, since I just moved here and its out in BFE ._.
