Some things to watch for in photomanipulation are the edges. The side of the horse's face seems to be blurred, the mane seems a but funky where it touches the blurry background, and part of the jockey/rider seems to be blurred behind the helmet.

This was my first try, but my next I'll start right away with the edges, working with 800% zoom...
Which I didn't do in that case, and had to do a few corrections at 800% after, but it was more difficult...
But overall I am so happy with this first try!!!
And I didn't even have to cut the subject and paste it on another layer!!

I just borrowed "Photoshop CS4 pour les nuls" (photoshop for noobs) at the library...
Hopefully I'll have plenty of reading time at work!!
Going in for 3 day shifts, 12 hour long...

really nice shot, but it needs more room on the edges, cropping this tight kinda ruins it

I really like that cropping though cause it makes the horse look like it's jumping out of the picture....
