I'm not sure if the xxD line is now position as a "prosumer" camera now. It's more like a super-rebel line. We loose the joystick, we lose micro-adjustment, we lose the magnesium body, slower burst rate, weather sealing is questionable, SD instead of CF cards.. I'm sure there are more stuff that they gimped on.



I have no idea why they made that lens.. looks like they took a 70-300, put it in a white barrel and slapped the "L" moniker on it. Hopefully it's optically better.. but will anyone buy this if the 70-200 f/4L IS only cost a little more?

At that level.. Don't they have to make a whole new set of lenses? I don't think any of the current lenses can keep up with that type of resolution.

That depends on what aspect. But in most cases.. no.

specs are almost the same between 60D and 7D

7D has better build/ weather sealing, the AF is ALOT more advance, has micro-adjustment, higher burst rate, bigger buffer, uses CF cards, has the joystick, custom user functions and higher level of user customization.

Honestly... big fkn deal about the cost. If a body was 10-15k there would still be buyers! Plus they would be breaking into a market with big backing by their brand name. Pentax did it... can't see why Canon can't do it.
