Holy crap. $315.. I guess i'll need to save that for my copy of photoshop first before i buy any of these.

Just brought my copy of LR3 couple weeks ago.. $350 saved so far for photoshop. :P

hahaha shit... I don't think it's worth $315 if you're not making money off it man. I think PS' inbuilt panoramic software should suffice!

loving how fast the i7 renders panos now

You gotta teach me how to overclock this bad boy ^ ^

Haha, i think i'll probably stay with the PS pano tool. It's not like i'm ever going to stitch 50 images into one. The most i see myself doing is maybe 8~.

The i7 is a PS monster. Wait till you get the thing ticking at 4ghz + ;)

What proc do you have again?

Give 50 images a go in a stitch... the resolution is amazing :D

I have a 930 on an x58a UDR3 board (the newer g/b boards) Also have a zalman 10x cpu cooler (got it for well under retail)

Also just got an OCZ vertex 2 ssd... fkn thing flies haha

I bet it is.. maybe i should shoot a 50pic pano with the 135L @ f/16 each :O

How hot does your processor get after 10 passes of LinX?

Also gratz on the Vertex2. Those things are absolute beast. I have 2 original Vertexs and gah do they rape my 2x 6401AALS ICH10R short-stroked Raid0 setup.

Hah, I shoot all my landscape panos with my 24-70mm @ 70mm and 70-200 @ 70mm. I've found that 70mm gives the best image compression. It looks like large format film.

You should try HDR panormas. ~7 shots of each image then stitch them all. Nightmare haha but awesome when you pull it off ^ ^

I haven't ran LinX but I will when I get home from work tonight and I'll get back to you. I remember when I first installed the cooler it was idling at ~30c but now it seems to idle at ~38c. Don't know whats happened there.

Hate to hijack your thread Bromar but because Eek is such a hard bloke to get a hold of through pm:

I think I need to reapply paste, probably get some Arctic. It idles way too high for an aftermarket cooler.

The cool could be slipping off the mounting plates and not sitting right. This happened the first time I installed it and had to redo it -_-

Don't get arctic silver. Use Ocz freeze or shin etsu. Use hwmonitor instead of realtemp, what voltage is the CPU running at?

Your idle temps is pretty darn high.. What's the ambient air temp? You don't have any ghost processes using CPU cycles do u? Even my rig @4.4ghz has lower idle temp.

Long burn in period, also performance isn't as good compared to ocz freeze, shin etsu x23, or icd7/24.

wow I really got mindfucked here. thought I posted here but somehow didnt :D

Anyways, I think the tokina 11-16mm is the best ultra wide angle lens for crop bodies. mine should arrive 2morrow. it only costs around 1/4 of the canon prime, which you should definately take under consideration. I mean, I dont have 2000 bucks for a lens...... if you do have, and you are a fan of fantastically sharp photos, and dont mind the fact that you cant zoom with it, go for the canon L. My penis would grow so much bigger if I´d get my hands on it. I bet it´s a great lens. you just need to know for yourself if you want to spend that much money as a hobby photographer.
