I wasn't suggesting to get HDR shots out of this all. I was just wondering if you had ever over/ underexposed by a stop or two to see the effect it has on the color of your scenes. I find myself doing this more and more now as I shoot just to see what happens with the color involved in the shot.

Oh ok. Well I think I overexposed some of them because I don't want to bump the exposure in post processing to avoid noise. I think I deliberately made it look underexposed simply because the clouds and sun would look better.

Get yourself a GND and start exposing for the shadows and not the sun and clouds! As soon as I get some more money I will be buying myself some GND filters.

Thanks everyone for commenting.
First of all I don't really watch Simpsons at least not anymore :p
It's FamilyGuy, Futurama and South Park for me now lol

Second, I guess I am too lazy and don't have a good enough tripod for taking several exposures and merge them together to get a more evenly exposed image but I did the best I could while shooting and during post-processing. Maybe you have some tricks that I don't know, mr SeaBas, which is not surprising since I still consider myself a newbie ;)

Third, hmm I don't really know what you are talking about, mr Undiscover. I don't know you so I certainly don't think I am better than you but at least I usually try not to be too rude maybe sarcastic but not rude :p :D ;)

Yeah, as I mentioned above I don't really feel like making HDR:s but I do see the advantage of merging like 5 or more different exposures to get a much more evenly exposed images.

Here is another dusk photo I took yesterday :D

I actually thought about that until I saw this article:

Firstly, avoid the screw-in ND filters. These are the simplest option out there, but are too inflexible for real use as they don't let you move the filter's transition line within the composition.

So the only other option would be lens adapter rings and a holder plus those large filters which I am sure are quite expensive so I think I am going to wait until I get a full frame camera and a better ultra wide angle lens :D

I like these. Very delicate shots with a nice colour palette mate.

Wasn't real fond of the landscapes though. There was too much emphasis on the sky and not the land :P
