Not bashing on anyone, but I know that those that say "it's not the camera- it's the photographer" are full of shit. I give 40/60 emphasis.

I concur. It's more like 50% lights, 30% photographer, 20% camera.

Check out this video

But nowadays, sadly.. some people make it like it's 70% post-editing, 10% lighting, 10% camera, 10% photographer -_-

As long as the image comes out the way the client wants it, and they pay for it, who cares? If you can make good photographs, you're a good photographer.

Though it is a bit disappointing when you think about it, more people are being graphic designers as opposed to photographers.

I dont think anyone said it sucks :3 Personally Im a bit jealous because Id like to try film out. Id go for something cheap yet awesome like a Holga though, nn another complicated camera

As for the photo, Id say you should work on your composition. Especially using film, because its not like you can review what you just shot, and its costly to develop.

The background bothers me a lot with the odd angles of the house and the small bit of grass, theyre a huge distraction imo. I would have also cropped the left where those white blurs are.

Otherwise the flowers are a nice subject, Id say try again.

Hah thank you. Yea it was just a test shot to figure out it the cam even worked and it does, it makes the pic like more older which is cool. The background is a crooked fence, i took the shot staright as I can it's the fence, not me! Lol.. So what do you mean by composition? Sorry i'm still learning.
