Try to shoot in a more natural setting, Ill usually take my daughter and put her out in the grass or something.

High chairs and strollers arent a good place to take photos, theyll always end up being a distraction. Plus the baby should be able to have free roam so you have more opportunities for different photos instead of shooting the same thing over and over.

when i shoot small children (neices/nephews of mine usually) ill have them lay down on a blanket (since they usually cannot sit up by themselves - that baby seems to be a little older than that tho but this is still helpful information id think) and lay down beside them -- get on the subjects level until you've mastered breaking the rule. it makes for a much easier way to get a much better shot.
also when the time comes, take the child to someplace he or she loves and let them do what they like to do!

no idea about the photography skills here, but super cute baby and amazing eyes :)
