Cool shots!
It's great to see that you actually started shooting film.
Did you have to wait long for the shots getting developed?
I don't think I would have the patience to have to go to a store and then have to wait awhile before getting the actual photos :p

With C41 process you can usually get them after an hour.

Thanks :)

And as Veilside said, it only takes about an hour to develop them. I didn't get any prints cause I didn't want to pay for all of them, I just got them all put on a cd. Plus i figured if I really wanted a print of some I could always go back and get them.

Wow, I love all the pics! taking pictures of animals are my favorite (:

Thanks. I don't typically go to the barn. I went to take pictures of all the old rusty things. But now that I've seen these I think I will go more often to take photos of the horses and stuff.

Where did you get the film processed? Did you then scan it into digital afterward?

I "may" be interested in going film just for the same reason you have, to practice and perfect every exposure in camera. :D

I got it processed at a local camera store called Inkleys. They scanned it to digital for me and put it on the cd. Then they gave me the negatives and the cd, costed I think $6. Most of that cost being the cd of course.

Thank you all for the nice comments!

Cause everyone wants to know... Film was: Fujicolor Superia X-TRA 400. It was loaded already, but that is fine by me... I will probably buy some more of this film for everyday type shooting...

Try 100 for shooting under sunny conditions daytime... ;)
400 is more for indoor or low light, and it affects the white balance...
You'll likeyour greens better with 100 and even better with 60 if you can find it:)

Honestly, the film was already loaded in the camera when I decided to go dig it out. I planned on using it for mostly low light stuff inside the barn, like how some of the shots are. I just was using up the rest of the exposures for all the outside stuff.

These pictures remind me of my uncle's farm in Oregon. He has a 100-something-year-old barn build by his late father in the early 1900s. The barn is so filthy, full of cobwebs and bird nests and a lot of bird poop and other crap lying around collecting dust and rusting out. My uncle doesn't take good care of his things, sadly. He doesn't like to clean. He always has something to do to keep him busy and cleaning isn't one of them lol. I think my favorite picture is that one with three horses. I also like the grandpa picture.
