Ramen noodles and late night taco bell FTW.

Naw my living expenses are approximately 600 USD / MO. Anything else I earn goes to photos and paying off a debt that I want to get rid of as soon as possible.

Wow thanks. I decided to go for the MK II + 1.4TC anyway. Already sold the 70-200 F4 for almost full retail price :D
The MK II is on its way.

I only have the 24-70L 2.8, the 100 mm 2.8 macro L IS, the 70-200L IS MK II (on it's way), and will be ordering the 50mm 1.2 L and the 85 mm 1.2 L. Not that many!

Not as sharp as like 4.0 or 5.6, but still very good.

That's unfortunate. Why get a 2.8 when it's not sharp at 2.8? May as well get the 24-105 f4 IS :)

but then you need to stop down the 24-105mm to about f/5-5.6 if you want the sharpness of 24-70mm at f/4 ;)

anyway i bet the 24-70 is sharp enough at 2.8 for most stuff, especially if you use some sharpening at photoshop
