It takes me roughly 3 seconds to load PS with my SSDs. But that's not the point. The point is that it reduces a step in the workflow. Simplifying it, i personally wouldn't mind one less step in the process unless necessary.

Wow.. That's just sad in my opinion.

How so? I don't feel the need to edit most of my pictures. I try to make them look as good as possible when i take the shot, i'll edit only if i have to. To me, photography is photography, not graphics design.

So far, every picture i have taken hasn't been edited at all, except for minor white balance and exposure adjustment.

I agree with Eek on this one. When you are about to publish ~100 photos from a shooting with 200 photos, quickly being able to sort out those you want and just make some quick changes, like wb f.e..
Then those 2 mouse clicks in lightroom suddenly is a few more clicks, drags and probably a whole bunch more.
Because all of us arent working on single pictures?

True, but for photos that don't need nothing more then simple WB adjustments, exposure or curve adjustment. It's a godsend to not have to launch PS. :)

as far as I´m concerned, launching lightroom takes about as longs as to launch photoshop^^
So why not just use the more powerful tool straight away? :P

Because it's easier to view your entire day's of shoot. Flag which one to keep, which one to delete, rate the photos and organize them into collections. It's just so much easier in lightroom.

What is sad is that 3 seconds is too much for you to wait.
