Alrighty, I'll probably go to the nearest place I can find that sells things like this, and are straight up about costs/prices/quality. Since I live in a small town I'll probably even be able to return it if I don't like, or even shoot pictures with them inside the store to try them out. (Especially if they think I'm gunna buy haha) Ty guys, you have all led me into the right direction. I don't know when I'll be able to get this so don't search for any photos from me haha xD

you could also try and look up used camera stores around your area.
theyre usually half price or cheaper!

also so companies have refurbished ones which are cheaper too and works just as good. :)

when you do come to a decision on what you want to buy, newegg.com has a wide variety of cameras and their pricing is always good

I would highly recommend a DSLR. With a point and shoot, you're going to find yourself wanting to do more stuff, but it's just not capable. And soon you'll find yourself wanting to upgrade. That and the quality is so much better. Not sure what to recommend, you could probably get a decent one for 500+ bucks.

point and shoot are always disappointing once you find more about dslrs. :P

but still there are tons~~~ of amazing shots produced by point and shoot!
i like some of their macro settings. ^_^
