Gawd, this beast probably weights a ton too judging by it's size. Drop the 9 in front of the price tag and i might have a chance of owning one

Looks like this camera will do what the rebel did do the dslr world/ red did to the professional video world. Love to see medium format camera go down in price :D

Also, i'm sure the 945 has bracketing mode.. a couple of buttons but still HDR.

How so? You can buy certain 39MP backs for less than 20k.

Yeah, just a back for 20k...

That is stuff all. A 70-200 2.8 IS weighs the same haha

You wouldn't need "HDR" on other Digital MF's... they have a 12 stop range. A big reason on why they are so appealing.

I think MF should stick around the 10k+ price but I'd look like a dick if I said why haha

Yeah, that's good if you already have a body with a plethora of blad lenses ;)

And we all know how much blad bodies/lenses cost.

Hah, i can't imagine carrying that with neckstraps and long lens all day. But i'm sure these MF folks will find a way.

Also care to explain a little on the 12 stop range? :] Love to learn more.

Let me fix what I said before. It's 14k for a 39MP back. 18k for a 31MP system and 22k for a 39MP system, both include a 28mm lens.

You effectively have 12 stops of dynamic range on the MF Digital sensor (between shadows and highlights)

Our eyes have 24 stops dynamic range. Digital SLR's are around ~8, sometimes 9, depending on the sensor (Canon's and Nikon's top line stuff)

Simple example; If you are shooting a scenery with a Digital SLR (with an ~8 stop range) where your meter reads 10 stops between the highlights and shadows (Highlight exposure = 500th @ f16, Shadows exposure = 1sec @ f16) you will need to make a sacrifice with your exposure because your sensor cannot comprehend such a dynamic range of information. You will need to expose somewhere in between this range or selectively expose for highlights or shadows. Shooting for HDR can be effective in capturing the complete stop range of your scene, although it is irrelevant at the moment.
