Shouldn't you be at flickr sitting in the middle of a circle jerk?

Haha, not offended at all mate, I have thick skin, it's part of being Aussie :P I apologise too if I've offended you too :)

As long as all your reading and researching is well balanced with actual prac work, you should be sweet. Alot of people get caught up with the intellectual side and lose artistic flare :/

I hope i have the time. I read alot and when i do happen to have time to put it in practice, I will. But with my current work schedule, it's pretty hard to fit in. Last week alone, i clocked in 92 hours. :(

85mm 1.4 and 70-200 with IS are very interesting lenses

To me the most interesting and exciting lens would be the 8-16mm because it gives the FOV of a Sigma 12-24 on a full frame so maybe I won't have to upgrade to a full frame anytime soon :D
Though I am also a bit skeptical to quality of that lens at least until I have seen some sample photos taken with that lens.

Very interesting indeed, if the 84 f/1.4 is priced at around $800~and performs just like the 30 f/1.5 and 50 f/1.4. it'll fly off the shelf.

As for the 70-200 OS, i like to see how it will position itself on the market against the 70-200 f/2.8L Mark I and Mark II. If they improve the AF algorithm, it'll be a strong contender.

:D definitely a first for aps-c size sensor cameras. But 8mm does seem pretty darn wide. Hope it doesn't vignette any.

hmm from what I have heard and seen there are no wide angle lens out there that doesn't vignette some just vignette more than others and often vignetting could be corrected in post processing, at least if you shoot in RAW.
