Even if you request critique, most people won't bother. Same with Flickr.

argh yeah flickr sucks even more. I just registered on a german community called "fotocommunity.de"

I got over 100 views and several comments on every uploaded photo in the first night so it seems to be quite active. plus the people seem to know what they´re talking about. might be due to the fact that it doesnt consist of a bunch of kids. I´m very limited tho as a free member. Thinking about paying the 5 bucks per month to get full access. ~~
Its damn hard to get good feedback online nowadays ~

Very. $5 pm seems a little steep though.

If you go to a college or something and there's a photography teacher, you could always ask for their advice and critique.

I guess I know more about Photography than my art teacher.

Damn, that's shitty for you. Do you know if there are any photography groups in your town that you can join?

depends on how you define photography groups. Like a bunch of people that meet from time to time in order to talk about photography and go shooting? dont know of something like that. There are several photography workshops and courses which are rather expensive tho ~

Im pretty alone with my hobby atm ^^
Only thing I really do frequently is giving this photo workshop with those kids from my school. but I dont really learn from them, because I`m supposed to teach them abit ~

I meant both groups and workshops, but if they're too expensive that does limit your options quite severely.

Any chance you could petition your school to have some sort of proper photography tuition, even if it just must a professional giving you tips and stuff after school hours?

hmmm I think that wouldnt work. my school is desperately trying not to spend money in "unnecessary activities" like such. It took me 3 months to get them to buy 5 photoshop elements licenses and install them on our school pc´s.............
and I guess there aren´t enough students that would profit from such a tuition. I barely was able to get 10 people for my workshop ~
