ok so today I went to en electronic shop where they sell cameras.
The seller explained some basics to me about DSLRs
I got an canon lens from my parents old (analog) camera (3000d or something)
he said that if the lense is more then 8 years old, the mm of the focal length (best way to translate it) is worse than on newer lenser, 1.4 times worse he said. Is that true?
I said I wanted to start on something not to expensive like the 1000d and he said I should consider the 450(d?) which is newer and got things like a better chip (which can handle higher ISOs) and a faster processor, it also feateres live view which the 1000d doesn't (are you guys using that anyway? for something like macro?). The 450(d?) is like ~140 bucks more.
I'm really not that wealthy atm, and if I can make reasonable pics for a while with the 1000d I prefer something like that. and is buying a camera like smart to buy secondhanded? I can get a secondhand 1000d body for around ~200 euro (~300 bucks)
Worse wouldn't be the correct word, closer to reality is that your focal length is multiplied with 1.4
