350d is about as good in iq as xs, it just has crappier screen, but it has its own screen for settings. i doubt that you could find 350d new enywhere because its so old camera. if you dont want to pay more for mainly cosmetic things and you feel that xs costs too much, get the 350d. i think they cost around 250$ used. one thing what makes little difference is that there is image stabilizer on xs kit lens and there isnt one on 350d kit lens, but if your into photography you dont want to use the kit lens for long enyways because its crap.

Get the Rebel EOS XSi

It has 12 mb compared to 10 on the xs, and right now you can find the kit at 599 to 650 $ in Best Buys, Future Shop, or any pro camera stores...
Been inline shoping for 2 days and that's what they go for, in Canadian dollars....
