chantal7 I dont know if this would be something you would be interested in. But you should check out your local human society and see if they would be willing to let you take pictures of their animals so they can use them to find homes for them.

ichbindasZerstorer how would you like to shoot streaming headlights or tail lights. Do your best to make it interesting. http://sixuntilme.com/blog-mt1/images/December06/cars1.jpg Tell us what you used for settings and what time of day you took the shot.

MotherOfTwo I want you to shoot one of your horses...... Would it be possible to have one of your childred hold the bridle? Perhaps guide the horse with a rope? You should be able to crop them out and still have a decent picture. If not. I want to see what you can come up with in terms of a close up!

prosnow its time to turn the lens on yourself. I would like to see a sports themed self portrait of you.

Qhotex how would you feel about getting me a portrait of someone from an alley. Something urban. Dark even. Street lights at night ?

XslayaX what do you think you could do to make a bunch of thumb tacks interesting ? If you haven't got those well think of something else.

Now none of these have due dates. Do them at your leisure. I know how hard it can be to make time for this. Remember if its not fun then your stressing it too much. ALSO if anyone is uncomfortable with their "assignment" don't be afraid to say so.

Cool!!!
I'll ask my daughter :)
I'll try to do this next week-end, hoping MotherNature will be on our side!
Ofc I'll have to take one horse out of the paddock..
If it's too muddy I'll think of something else...

Google Dan Heller. His light trails are exceptional.

prosnow its time to turn the lens on yourself. I would like to see a sports themed self portrait of you.

I wish i had my own lighting equipment (still getting all my own stuff) so for the first image I used a flashlight for one side, and my lightsaber for the other. The grain on both was purposeful just to get a little more vintage/edgy look.

for this image I just used both lights again but made it b/w :P

Good shots. Lighting is gatorade-commercial sexy.

I think the blue on the first is throwing me off. I'm really digging the second shot though. Cool contrasts good focus great work.

Hmmm - I'm not really into taking photos of those types of pets. I've had this one suggested to me before. It's a good idea though; I feel terrible for the animals in there. I just can't bring myself to go there to volunteer to take photos. I can't explain why ... hmm ... sorry to be a pain in the ass!

It's true.
When you walk in the doors, you become a part of their life the moment they look at you with those eyes.
Eyes that have seen so much pain, abuse and sometimes torture.
You feel it, and it impacts you.
If you were to capture that emotion through your camera to portray to others, it would be very overwhelming.
I wouldn't do it either.
I'd end up trying to take all of them home instead of taking pictures. Lol!

Lol - I would love to take them all home!

I went there once ... and when you go to see the dogs in their cages, they were all barking so viciously and loud. You could tell which ones were in there the longest because they seemed to bark and want to bite you :(. The other dog I saw was in there for maybe a couple of days, a puppy. So nice, no barking. Just sitting there wanting attention. It's sad going in there. I couldn't work there either.
