I have no idea really, does that middle ring rotate at all? I'm still thinking it has to deal with an auto focus lock... Your camera can be manual but you still might have an AF motored lens...

its not motored at all, and i tried to move the middle ring
and from what i know so far, the middle ring stays still
and i know it has something to do with the apeture and focusing with distances and stuff
but i dont know how to get that stuff lined up correctly

one more question

when i open the back of the camera, there is this black curtain like thing where light comes in, but i think it blocks the light, when i close the back and wind it the two times the instructions say to do before shooting my first pictures, does it roll up to the side or let in light, ive done one roll of film so far, and i wont be able to develope it for a few days, and im wondering if my film will be blank before i develope it so i dont waste money

DON'T TOUCH THAT! That "curtain" is your shutter.

Is that opened? Or closed? I can't tell.

If its opened, its the shutter. If not, its just a clip where you put a little thing telling you what kind of film you are shooting.

will it be ruined if i accidentally touched it, i mean my finger slipped off the hinged door and i touched the curtain just a tiny bit

im sure its the shutter, and its closed, cuz i cannot see the inner side of the lense
