I am realizing I am way in over my head with the camera market. I went to bestbuy and walmart last night with my wife and looked at a few cameras. It seems the biggest thing my wife is looking for in a camera is a really crisp clear image on the camera screen. I think I can up my budget a little... I would like to spend 250 or less including shipping and/or tax. Is there a nikon that you would recommend within that price range? The lower end Ashton cameras felt a little flimsy. Is there a better model I should look at that is still extra slim? Thanks guys

Well if it's a nice large and bright screen you are looking for on a camera then you should take a look at Nikon D90 or Canon T1i/Eos 500D or Canon eos 50D. Those cameras come with a 3 inch VGA monitor and are probably the best you could get right now but of course they all cost around 1000 bucks :( If you are only interested in point and shoot cameras you may want to avoid those Nikon coolpix cams course from what I have heard they are quite awful.

Seriously did you take a lok at the pictures I took with my little cheap camera?
There is no editing at all in any of the pictures.
You can't go much better for the price....
It also takes great portraits, but I don't post pictures of my kids online, so you'll have to take my word for it....

So you can go with a camera that has already been tested and see results, or trust a random seller who is just looking to make his commision $$
