Oh ok. Well I guess I will have to play around and maybe even read the manual to get to know my new camera better lol but one thing kinda really surprised me and it's the time you have to wait for the camera to post process the image after a very long shutter speed shot. It usually takes like 20 seconds for my 40D but on the XSI it's almost instant! which is weird...

I actually tried to take a picture of the moon as well but as usual I failed miserably because of I only had the Sigma 10-20 with me and 20mm is faaaaaaar from enough for moon shots no matter how big appears on the night sky -.-

Btw I kinda miss those blooper topics that you or some other members posted awhile ago. I think they are interesting but the hard part is to make people want to post their bloopers as well...

Yeah I have that problem too, takes 20 seconds to process a 30 second exposure photo - I don't know how to change that either.

That's weird though course the XSI has actually larger files to process since it got 2 mega pixel higher resolution than XTI and 40D...
Maybe someone here could shed some light on this mystery :O It's really annoying when you are trying to get some pictures of lightnings.

Yes. I always use the highest quality settings on both of my cameras and 40D is suppose to be faster than the Rebel series... -.-
and I don't think it has anything to do with the memory cards we use because I use Sandisk Extreme III cards in my 40D and some crappy old Kingston SD card which I bought back when I had my HP camera in my Rebel XSI.

Nice, wish I could go out @ night time and shoot pictures, but in Finland, if you go out after 11pm you probably get knifed and your cameras going to be breaken / stolen

Nah. :)

See Antichrist-s photos at night. No blood, no knife, and he got a camera back home.

LMFAO!
I took tons of night photos when I lived in Stockholm, Sweden and from what I have heard those major cities in Finland aren't less safer than the capital of Sweden :p
