Well. Not much vs tripod. Phhf. :D

Haha. It is one of my biggest fears, to meet someone creepy enough to talk to me while we at a dark location with no exit. xD

lol! Well it really depends on what kind of people and where. I have had drunk idiots asking me weird questions when I wandered around the downtown area of Stockholm during weekend nights but I never got scared or whatever because there were always police and guards patrolling the streets. I think it's in certain suburbs and in subway that you could get into real trouble lol.

Well, perhaps not always but I never want to take the chance of me needing one and than not having one :P I've extremely shaky hands and have trouble taking anything below 1/60 without blurs so... I <3 my tripod x'D

hahaha! Stop taking drugs and quit drinking!!! lol JK!
Say does your lens has VR (IS)? If not you may will consider getting a Nikon lens with vibration reduction ^^

Well I have always known that nightphotos taken with tripod are a lot more beautiful and dramatic than handheld but as I said I am usually just too lazy to carry around a tripod especially when walking around in the downtown area :p BUT it's just matter of time before I get one of those things lol. Oh btw what kind of tripod do you use?

Erhm. It doesn't have VR so maybe that's why x'D A reviewer of my lens said:

The lens does not have VR (vibration reduction), a big disappointment to many potential purchasers. At 135mm and f/5.6, this lens really could use VR.

I've no idea how much of a difference it makes, but hell I do suck at holding them still x'D Heh. I use a very handy Canon tripod actually :) It's really my dads but I've kind of taken it over now that I've gotten into photography, so I've got no idea where or when it's from :P It's really convenient though as it's lightweight and folds together to a size which you ALMOST (it's an inch too big for my camerabag :wallbash:) can fit into a regular sized backpack.

hahaha! You are using your Nikon cam on a Canon tripod? That's funny xD
Well let's just say that I could go down to as slow as 1/3s at 17mm when using my 17-85 IS lens but had to keep the shutter speed faster than 1/15 sec while using my Sigma 10-20 mm :(

HOLY "#(/"##"! That makes me jealous as hell :( About the tripod, yeah. I knew you'd mention that x'D I said the same thing to my dad when he showed me it (he's a strict nikon user which makes it even more funny).
