www.popscustard.com is the website I made for Pop's Custard...a local place.

It's hosted at victormanson.com because that is my site and I still have the old semi-finished pop's site on there as a temp.

canon doesent have 85mm 1.4, only 1.8 and 1.2.

@doyleo im pretty sure that nikons 85 1.8 is atleast nearly as good as canons.

you need all that gear with you everytime that u pack with u? Personally i just throw my camera with lens to packback with the lens i most likely use. Sometimes i take flash and my other lens too when im sure ill be needing them

sure the quality and optics will be the same but i dont think it will focus as well, it is rear focusing but i dont think it has a USM or wave motor.

Im the same as you, Tomes, i just throw 450D and 85mil in the bag and that's it.

it was pretty easy to make a decision on a first camera, but for a second camera its amazingly hard. The 500D is so tempting with full HD recording, the 40D is tempting with its cheapness and the D300 is tempting coz it has some ridiculously high number of focus points and a great build quality.

you could get 1d mkII used cheaper than nikon d300 ;) . Allso 5d used would be much cheaper than d300, d300 has better iso handling but with high iso d300 gets soft, so with 5d you could remove noise much better and maybe get even better high iso results. Not to mention that 5d is full frame and d300 is 1.5 crop..

personally i think buying good cameras new is just a waste of money, or waste of a good camera, since u get crappier camera for same price if u buy it new..

I've you've got one system you're better off sticking with that system. So if you've already got Canon lenses just stick with Canon.

Thought it might be worth mentioning that you need to be a bit wary of that site, the guy's got a clear bias.
