heheh, i've got a baby deer snuggled in a tree hole outside my house.. no mother in sight though :(
i should run out and take some pictures of it

Well, with this one it was easy. It was VERY curious! It walked towards me. I was sitting down on me knees.

The other shots I have made I try to be as low as possible (On my knees or something like that) and move slowly towards them, over like 50 - 60 meters. It is a slow process but you will be rewarded.
