well actually the tripod + flash were my birthday presents from mom & dad ;) and I'm definitely NOT rich ^^ I'm still at school (doing my final exams right now) and I'm working quite a lot besides, though I think I gotta wait until christmas to get the next step of my photography stuff *gg*

Well then you have very supportive parents then :)
So are you going to get serious with photography and maybe take a photography coarse after you are done with school? I hope I am not asking too much here lol.

Wow, very impressive pictures. First one is my favorite. The fourth picture looks like sunset. Weird that it is actually sunrise. Anyway, great pics!

Such beautiful scenery you have there, Arg! I'm jealous :)

I like them all... they have such a warm feeling about them.

indeed, since this was my 18th birthday they were a bit more supportive than usual :) however, I will take a 3 - day - photography course (indoor & outdoor) right after my exams in june... the "teacher" is martin engelmann, he's got my favourite job - journalism and journey - photography. So - I will definitely follow up on photography but I still don't know if I should dare to make this my profession :)

strange, you are the second here telling me that it's a pitty that the mountains are out of focus :) I'm really too used to them... where do you live in Holland? My brother studies in Eindhoven, he hates the bad weather there :D

I know what you mean. Sometimes it is just really hard to decided what you want to do for the rest of your life lol
Well how about becoming a freelancer? You will have the freedom to choose which ever client you want and maybe have a second job as well lol. just a suggestion :p

About the blurred background. I think the mountains should be blurred because you were focusing on the awesome looking tripod itself but if they want to see some pictures of mountains then you should post some of the older photos of yours :D

I would love to become a freelancer, but it seems kinda risky to me, don't you think it would be? ;)

About the mountains, I've already said I will take some special shots soon =) I hate posting older pics^^
