Hmm... I don't have a lot of lenses right now... but my favourites are

Sigma 10-20mm (wide angle lens) - haven't really gotten any shots with this, but I plan to when I decide to get my ass outside ^_^ Wanted this lens mainly for outdoor shots. Could have really used it last summer when I wanted to get photos of full buildings, landscapes, etc.

Canon 50mm f/1.8 (also known as the plastic fantastic) - I like this lens so I can take portraits and indoor shots without a whole lot of light issue. I hate using flash on cameras when I really don't need to.

Here's an example with this lens, I'd say they're my favourite photos so far: I don't have many pictures just yet with it, I just got it a week ago ^_^

:p well not everyone want to or can afford to buy that lens :p

Maybe it's just me but I think lenses with IS are so much easier to use than those without at least when taking pictures in low light and you do notice the difference between USM lenses and those without. Well the EF-s 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM lens is probably the best zoom lens for taking pictures in low light for Canon cropped sensor cameras but it also costs twice as much as my lens. :p You should check out those night photos I have posted in this forum because they were all taken handheld with the EF-s 17-85mm lens ^^

Taken with my 50mm f/1.8 prime and as you see it's a lil bit blurry even when the exposure was at 1/25 and aperture at f/2.0 because of camera shake.

and this picture was taken with my IS zoom lens using a shutter speed of 1/10 and aperture at f/4.0 but of course the nifty fifty gives nicer background blur. It would be nice if Canon could make an IS version of every single lens they have :D
