without american flag there is no america. america is atleast 50% of worshipping a flag.

Different people may think of different symbols for the same country..
It always depends how you view your own country...

I am not American, but if I think of bad American thing, yes I will think of violence, fat people and gravy....

But as a tourist, my own positive symbols of USA are:

• Beach
• Bald Eagle
• Mt Rushmore (not sure of spelling)
• White House
• Statue of Liberty
• Geronimo
• Wild mustangs
• Grand Canyon
• Ethnic diversity
• Baseball/Basketball/Football
• Horse racing (Triple Crown)
• Cowboys and cattle

I don't know where you live and I'm pretty sure most my symbols are not easily accessible... but maybe you can link to something in your area...

Even less was I starting a debate on what is good and what is not about America.
You are looking for ideas to make pictures, I am giving you an outside opinion and up to you to make your own interpretation and do your assignment.

No one here will go out and take the pictures for you, and if you want to succeed at what you do, you will have to put some effort in it.
Go outside, take a walk, observe.
Go in an antique store, walk through a park, talk to people....
You need to take a lot of pictures in order to keep a few good ones taht will actually mean something to you.

geronimo? and yes America is fat people and gravy but thats what makes the ones who arn't succeed but ya thats america. it's nice in small towns people are nice and healthy unless it's a meth town :/

I'm not american so I can't give you any specifics but I would suddjest making a list of things that are typically seen as "american" and try to take a picture of it that is related in some way.

First thing that came to mind for me was baseball :)And remember you don't have to take the boring "standard?" picture of say the actual baseball game you could take a cool macro picture of a baseball maybe!

think of some unique ideas and I'm sure you'll get 50 in no time!

Maybe you could find an eagle... or a statue of one somewhere...

I really like those state quarters ^^ so maybe you could take a picture of all 50 of them if they aren't too hard to find or buy.
Also if it's possible you should take a picture of the Empire state building too. It's the symbol of American economy and might and blahblahblah
